YOU, ME AND PUSS*

Breaking mews…

Yes, the cat’s out of the bag! G. Wizz has a new script available! It’s ‘Puss In Boots’, a vim and vigour version of Charles Perrault's famous fairy story.

As you know, dear reader, your esteemed… or even steaming… scribe, usually shows others the way (see ‘SO FOLLOW ME, FOLLOW’ 12.8.2011), but in this case, Hollywood beat me to the punch, which is a large pity. However, since the Daily Mail’s review (8.12.2011) of the $130,000,000 (estimated) DreamWorks Animation blockbuster was headed, Shrek spin-off Puss In Boots is a paw show.” (Ouch!), I won’t lose any sleepless nights over it!

*The song, ‘You, Me and Us’, with music based on the Mexican traditional folk song, ‘Cielito Lindo’, and a lyric by John Jerome, was a hit for Alma Cogan in 1957. It peaked at number 18 in the Top Twenty.
